Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 'Broken Horses' to release globally as a novel

Ace producer-director, Vidhu Vinod Chopra forayed in the Hollywood industry with his maiden production 'Broken Horses'. Now the film will be converted into a novel too and, will also get a global release.


The original story of 'Broken Horses' written by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Abhijat Joshi, will be simultaneously released as a novel in US, UK and India. This film gives Vidhu Vinod Chopra a rare distinction to be the first Hollywood film written, produced and directed by an Indian.


A spokesperson from Vinod Chopra Films confirmed the news. Earlier, the trailer of the film was launched by Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan. The film, which received words of praise from Hollywood legends like James Cameron and Alfonso Cuaron, has already created a lot of interest among the audience.

'Broken Horses', set in the shadows of US-Mexico border gang wars, is an epic thriller about bonds of brotherhood, laws of loyalty and futility of violence. The film is based on an original story by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The film has a stellar cast comprising of Vincent D'Onofrio ( 'The Judge', 'Full Metal Jacket' ), Anton Yelchin ( 'Like Crazy', 'Star Trek' ), Chris Marquette ( 'Alpha Dogs', 'The Girl Next Door' ) and Maria Valverde ( 'Exodus' ). His technical crew on the film included, Director of Photography, Tom Stern ( 'Hunger Games', 'The Changeling' ), production designer, Toby Corbett ('Bad Lieutenant') and composer, John Debney ( 'Iron Man 2')


'Broken Horses', distributed and marketed by Fox Studios in India, will hit the theatrical screens on 10th April.
