Vir Das has always tickled our funny bone with his comic antics. But now the actor will be sporting an altogether different avatar in Ajay Devgn's directorial venture 'Shivaay'.
A Bombay Times report quoted a source as saying, "Vir will be playing a parallel lead in the film. Contrary to his image, he will be seen in a different role, undergoing physical training for his action scenes."
'Shivaay' also stars Ajay Devgn, British child actor Abigail James and marks the debut of Sayesha Saigal, grand-niece of Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu. Buzz is that 'Shivaay' has Ajay play the role of a convicted prisoner, who relives his life after getting out of the jail, with some mystical and mythological twist and eventually brings down an evil empire.
The film is slated for Diwali 2016 release and will clash at the box office with Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Meanwhile Vir will also been seen in Sunny Leone's sex comedy 'Mastizaade' which will hit the big screens in mid January 2016.
