Homi Adajania is having trouble getting his U/A certificate for his movie 'Finding Fanny', the reason being the usage of the term “virgin†in the film in a dialogue by Deepika Padukone.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) commented that the word “virgin†is very “vulgar†and if Homi wanted the U/A certificate he would have to remove of the dialogue from the movie.
Getting further into the matter we got news from a CBFC officer that the officer Deepak, who watched and censored the film, is not the right person to judge cinema. He is actually a Personal Assistant of the Chairperson Leela Samson.
Seems like we can have “Virgin†as a mobile company's name but not as a dialogue.
