Anurag Kashyap's 'Bombay Velvet' has created a lot of buzz everywhere for being shot on a magnificent scale. The film is a period drama based in the era of 60s and reveals the transition of Bombay into Mumbai.
It took about 8 years of writing and research with a huge chunk of time consumed in pre-production to conjure the magical world of 'Bombay Velvet'. The film takes you back to the vintage era.
The magnum opus brought together 600 people daily on sets for shoot, 10,000 kilos of costume, 25,000 kilos of art material, guns from Germany and more than 200 vintage cars to create the world of 'Big Shot'.
Recently, the makers of 'Bombay Velvet' shared a video which reveals how they conjured this magical world.

The film is a romantic thriller, set against the background of ambition, love, greed and jazz, is the one ordinary man who goes against all odds and forges his destiny to become a ‘Big Shot’. Unfortunately, his dream becomes everyman's nightmare. 'Bombay Velvet' is slated to release on 15th May.
