After starring opposite Ranbir Kapoor, Emraan Hashmi and Riteish Deshmukh, it’s time for Nargis Fakhri to ring the wedding bells along with Rajkummar Rao!
The two have been paired opposite each other in director Namrata Singh Gujral’s flick ‘5 Weddings’ that also stars Candy Clark and Bo Derek.
Speaking about how he got the role, Rao said, “Namrata saw some of my work on Netflix and other platforms following which the production house approached me to play the leading man.”
The National Award Winner will be seen playing the role of Harbhajan, a cynical cop who works in Punjab Police.
“The cop is assigned to escort Nargis's character, an Indian girl raised in the US who has come down to India to do a magazine feature on Indian weddings. What should have been a simple assignment turns complicated, thanks to Harbhajan, who is convinced it's an espionage operation.” he added further.
Meanwhile, Fakhri will be next seen in ‘Banjo’, on the other hand Rajkummar will be next seen in Vikramaditya Motwane’s next ‘Trapped’, Tabrez Noorani's 'Love Sonia', Ramesh Sippy’s ‘Shimla Mirch’ and Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ along with Kriti Sanon and Ayushmann Khurrana.
