Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan have always enthralled the audiences whenever they teamed up together, be it in ‘Bunty Aur Babli’, ‘Sarkar’, ‘Sarkar Raj’ or the last one being ‘Paa’.
While in ‘Shamitabh’ though Abhishek Bachchan will be seen in a passing role, we won’t be seeing the ‘Happy New Year’ actor sharing the screen space with his megastar father.
Ask Big B when we will be able to see the father-son duo together and he reveals, “Hopefully if someone gets a brilliant script to us, then we will definitely consider working with each other. Someone should get an appropriate script only then we can work with each other soon.”
Interestingly, Big B had revealed on his birthday in October last year that in childhood, he used to celebrate his birthday by eating Khoyabarfi along with his father Harivanshrai Bachchan and mother Teji Bachchan. Probe him whether the same practice is followed for Abhishek, who celebrates his birthday this week and Senior Bachchan admits, “Initially, we used to cut the cake but then eventually he also started cutting Khoyabarfi and having it. In fact, we still do it.”
He adds further, “For Aaradhya also we get Khoya. I don’t understand the practice of cutting cake. You should celebrate a birthday with prayers and all. Why is there any need to blow candles, cut cake and smash it on your face, followed by birthday bumps? These are the practices of the west. We shouldn’t do it.”
Well, point taken Sir!
